Craig received a Scholarship at Sydney University through the Royal Australian Navy, and after a short commission, joined Carter & Spencer in 1980 and was responsible for the development of the Group’s international trade, importing and exporting fresh produce.

Craig became CEO of the Group in 1988 as the company commenced a challenging growth phase. It was during this phase that Craig managed the development in 1998 of Carter & Spencer’s first purpose built Distribution Centre for Coles. And in 1999 built a fully refrigerated pre-packing facility in Brisbane.

In 2004, Craig established a Joint Venture with Foodstuffs Fresh in New Zealand for the supply and distribution of fresh produce to North Island stores and purchased 100% of the Group from the Spencer family.

2005 saw the establishment of the Group's first company in Thailand, following in 2006 with the establishment of the Group's first company in China.

Craig has served on many industry Boards including:

  • Australian United Fresh (QLD) - former Qld Chairman
  • Queensland Horticultural Export Council - Advisory Board Member
  • Qld Chamber of Fruit & Vegetable Industries Co-operative Ltd (Brismark) - former Director
  • Produce Marketing Association Australia - Council Member
  • City of Brisbane Investment Corporation - Board Member
