Shane joins Carter &  Spencer with 20 years involvement in the fruit and produce industry.

Shane’s first trading role was with the New Zealand Kiwifruit Marketing Board (ZESPRI) where he held responsibility for the Australian and Indian Ocean markets. After leaving New Zealand and over the last 13 year period Shane has held international and domestic roles in Australian produce organizations. Shane has travelled extensively developing export and import fruit programmes with growers and retailers worldwide. Products have included table grapes, citrus, stone fruit, cherries, kiwifruit, pip fruit and a range of other fruit and vegetables.

Over the years Shane has built a wide range of relationships both on and off shore to enhance the development of export programmes, and this has included time spent in many of the worlds produce markets including Asia, Africa, America and Europe. Some of these programmes continue to run today.

With globalization of the world produce markets Shane sees it as imperative for Australia to provide the most comprehensive marketing and trading programmes to its customer base and look continually to develop new opportunities in markets worldwide.
